hummingbird

The hummingbirds are here!!

The first one that was seen was on the 23th( of April). That picture is the first one that I have taken a picture of.( the 25th) I was about twenty feet away from him... as you can tell by the picture his head is bent to one side. He was just making sure that I did not get to close to him☺
Here is a picture of a cute grey tree frog that I found on a thorn bush.

I don't know why he was on there, because I think it would hurt to sit on a thorn bush.

The Moon is in the evening sky now.

That picture I put up is cukin☺. I changed the black to blue, so that is why it looks all blue.

P.S. I didn't get to see Venus and Moon this morning ( because it was cloudy) to bad:( But there was a pretty sunrise and a faint rainbow. Maybe I can put some pictures of the sunrise?

Eclipse of Venus and......

For sky watchers in western parts of North America the moon will eclipse Venus tomorrow( the 22th) in the morning sky before sunrise. More to find out when the eclipse time is for you. Sorry Jenny you will not be able to see it:( But you still can get up before sunrise because the Moon and Venus will be very close to each other. It should be it the eastern sky. Also, before sunrise on the 22th is the best time to see the Lyrid meteor shower. but you should be able to see 10 to 20 meteors per hour so it is not a great meteor shower. if you get up when it is still dark. A better meteor shower is between August 8 and 14, peaking about August 12 they are called the Perseids.

Rainbow

Ok, Here are the pictures of the rainbow.

Here is a close up picture of it. That bird you see is a meadowlark and his beak is open( because he was singing)

Here is a picture of a water drop on the cedar tree. See, you can see the sun through it!!!
We had a pretty sunset just after the rainbow.

Fake Eggs

Here is a picture of the fake eggs. The botton one is painted and the top one is not. I think, I will paint the top some time.The chickens think that they are real eggs!
