Storm Clouds

Here are some pictures of some storm clouds. Pictures taken on april 27th.

We didn't get any thing severe from them:( But it did give us some very heavy rain.

P.S. I'm being lazy(about writing the story about Felix and Puffy Head). I will try to start writing it again.

hummingbird

The hummingbirds are here!!

The first one that was seen was on the 23th( of April). That picture is the first one that I have taken a picture of.( the 25th) I was about twenty feet away from him... as you can tell by the picture his head is bent to one side. He was just making sure that I did not get to close to him☺
Here is a picture of a cute grey tree frog that I found on a thorn bush.

I don't know why he was on there, because I think it would hurt to sit on a thorn bush.

The Moon is in the evening sky now.

Cukin

That picture I put up is cukin☺. I changed the black to blue, so that is why it looks all blue.

P.S. I didn't get to see Venus and Moon this morning ( because it was cloudy) to bad:( But there was a pretty sunrise and a faint rainbow. Maybe I can put some pictures of the sunrise?

Eclipse of Venus and......

For sky watchers in western parts of North America the moon will eclipse Venus tomorrow( the 22th) in the morning sky before sunrise. More to find out when the eclipse time is for you. Sorry Jenny you will not be able to see it:( But you still can get up before sunrise because the Moon and Venus will be very close to each other. It should be it the eastern sky. Also, before sunrise on the 22th is the best time to see the Lyrid meteor shower. but you should be able to see 10 to 20 meteors per hour so it is not a great meteor shower. if you get up when it is still dark. A better meteor shower is between August 8 and 14, peaking about August 12 they are called the Perseids.

Rainbow

Ok, Here are the pictures of the rainbow.

Here is a close up picture of it. That bird you see is a meadowlark and his beak is open( because he was singing)

Here is a picture of a water drop on the cedar tree. See, you can see the sun through it!!!
We had a pretty sunset just after the rainbow.

Fake Eggs

Here is a picture of the fake eggs. The botton one is painted and the top one is not. I think, I will paint the top some time.The chickens think that they are real eggs!

Weather Station

This is what the weather station looks like.
This one measures the temperature and humdity. The two cords are to the rain thing and the wind thing.
This measures the rain.

This is the wind thing. It measures the wind speed and Direction.Yes that is Laser on the botton of the picture.

This is main thing, it is the one that goes inside. It is Wireless. it shows the barometric pressure and the wind chill and other things.

Bugs!

Here are some pictures of some Ladybugs

The black dots on its back are mirror images.

And here are some honey bees. Just let me know if you want the full sized images,ok? And I can email them to you.

Some of the honey bees just go after buttercups, some just go after dandelions. And some just go after any one type of flower. And some honey bees go after any flowers.

Be sure not to miss the full Moon tomorrow(the 9th) Because it is very bright.

Some severe thunderstorms are possible tomorrow. and which means we probably will not be able to see the full Moon:( I have all of the pictures of the weather station so I probably post them soon.

New Story!

"Now what" yelled Puffy Head, as he went to answer the door. "For the hundredth time" he said to himself.
"Can I have some more of your grasshopper soup?" wailed Felix.
"No No you big jerk, you just about ate all of it. I need some to you know!!" Puffy Head Yelled.
"I will go away if you just give me one more bite." cried Felix
"Yeah well that is what you said last time But you are a big pest so I will give you one more bite but that is all, OK?" Puffy Head shouted. So Felix got his bite and He ran off very happy. Or at last that is what Puffy Head thought. A minute later, Knock, knock knock. "You big fat jerk you said that you would go away, But you did not you big lier." Snorted Puffy Head. Well you will not get any more of my grasshopper soup!" Puffy Head yelled. "and I will beat you up until you cry. Ha Ha, So you better stop knocking on that door or you will be sorry!" laughed Puffy Head. Louder this time, Knock, knock knock, knock knock. "Well I warned you, You dumb idiot. so here I come." Puffy head stormed out of the kitchen (and away from his grasshopper soup) and went to open the door."Ha ha you dumb idiot I will beat you up until you cry and pull all of your feath " Puffy Head loud voice stopped immediately and he turned white as a sheet . Because it was not Felix at the door. It was the sheriff of bird town Arrow. Puffy Head's mouth opened but no noise came out. Finally after a long time some noise came out of his mouth, But all it was, was a err err err in a very scared and shaky voice. Puffy Head tried to close the door on Arrow but Arrow did not let him.
"Well" ,said Arrow, "You are a very mean rooster. You should know better then to say that you would pull out all my feathers beat me up." Arrow said in a very stern voice. "Well, do you want to go to jail?" Arrow said.

Moon

Wow the Moon sure is bright!!! Be sure you get to see it!! any time from now until April 9th when it will be full. Here is a picture of it. I took it through the new telescope dad bought us.
I'm taking pictures of the weather station so you can see what it looks like:) I will try to post a post about the telescope too. So go outside in the evenings and soak up some Moon light, because there will be a lot of it!!!!!!
